Hello parents/guardians!

Things you can do at home to support you child with reading:
Make sure you daughter/son are reading books that are at their reading level. Be actively involved in your daughter/son education career. (i.e. have the read to you, read to them, ask them about their day at school, ask what they learned, have them giving an example of what they've learned in math, have them apply the reading strategy from the mini-lesson while reading at home). There are many educational website for students to learn and have fun with at home. Your son and daughter knows these sites. They use them at school all the time. Have them go to them and play educational games. Provide your child with interesting books at home. Make reading a fun family activity. Read as a family and talk about the book together. Compliments your child about reading efforts.
